Positive Behaviour Support

At The Courageous Dinosaur & Me we understand that every behaviour serves a purpose. Positive Behaviour Support works to reduce or eliminate difficult behaviour.  First, we speak with you, your family or support people about your needs and wants, we then complete a functional assessment and review assessments from other specialists and professionals. With this information we develop a plan that is individual to you and your circumstances.  The Courageous Dinosaur & Me also train support staff and families who implement the Positive Behaviour Support Plan.  We keep in touch regularly to receive feedback from all stakeholders.

Auslan

We provide a number of Auslan services through the Courageous Dinosaur & Me. Sam is the only Auslan interpreter in Rockhampton and is available for face to face or VRI interpreting across Queensland and interstate.

Another service we provide is Mentoring for Deaf children and adults. This service is provided usually in 12 week blocks and can focus on a range of content based on the needs of the client. Mentoring can cover social skilling, life skills and general well-being.
